In 1985, Yamaha developed the TT-F1 specification FZR750 (OW74) with the aim of conquering Suzuka based on the commercially available FZ750. In the 1985 season, OW74, who fought Suzuka wearing the Tech 21 color, was entrusted to France's Sonneau Yamaha and repainted with the Gorowers color at the Bol d'Or 24-hour race held at the France Paul Ricard circuit.
